Nvidia 8600 GT fails

My games are crashing quite often or the textures / Skins ingame just change random, it happens in almost every game after some time.
Got the newest drivers, if anyone know a solution please tell me.
Its driving me insane xD.

i own a very similar Graphics card, the Nvidia 8600 GS..
although not the most powerfull, i find it pretty reliable ..
i think that your graphics card might have taken damage of some kind, since i haven't heard about any Nvidia GPU performing this bad

Yeah, quite possibly a fault, but before you pull it out and pay for another, try this.

Get the Nvidia BETA drivers. Tell me what OS you have and what bit it is (eg: vista x32) and I'll get you a direct link =])

Thats why i am getting a 9600

To be honest, the GeForce 9 series aren't as powerful as the 8 series

XP Home Edition SP 3 but no idea which bit, where can i see it?

get a xbox or ps3 all the games for it are designed for the console , you dont haveto buy yourself cheap in new updates and stuff

FPS games are meant to be played on a pc.

you still have that 8600 erik? i read that all 8 series 8600 cards desktop and laptop have a severe issue with 'pcb bubbling'. basically a total f*** up of the whole product line, retailers and manufacturers have pretty much tried to brush it under the carpet. the cards seem to die less in desktops due to the ventilation and temperatures generally being more acceptable. but im kind of worried about my girlfreinds 8600m gs in her laptop :S lucky she rarely uses the 3D aspect of it!

(oh and 8600=9500 the 9600 is actually as powerful as two 8600's strapped together. but still half the shader power of a 8800gt)

Allthough i don't have a load of issues with it, considering i'm running gmod and left 4 dead at high quality with a fine Fps. I don't see what the problem is

yeah most of the time they should fine, in a desktop probably wont be an issue, just sweaty laptops that seem to fry it. Apple are quite good in that they offer to replace it with the equivilant ATI offering. id still rather have a 8600 than an ati one personally ;p
