If it's a model, you can convert it to what source uses, and place that into a map I suppose. It probably wouldn't work because of the problems you would encounter like optimization and sealing it.

I have found a way to export from sketchup to source, http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SketchUp_Source_Tools
so i'm continuing this project, maybe we'll have our official racetrack somewhen
Right now i'm texturing and making the main buildings inside the track, if you have any ideas tell me.
I'll be also including an underground builing area, right beneath the parabolic bend

i notice my 'dodgy' copy of sketchup pro allows importing of .3ds

yeah, figured out that downscaling it to source standards would have made it impossible to play so it's scratched
