So, your menu doesnt come up at all? You might have to reinstall gmod....

I should do that...but I made a new gmod folder and moved all my stuff in there...no success...i didn't want to have to reinstall it but whatever...

I'm not sure what the cause of this is, but the error message points to the spawnmenu.lua file, which could be faulty.
I've uploaded my own spawnmenu.lua file, which is working for me:

When you've downloaded it, place it here:
c:/program files/steam/steamappes//garrysmod/garrysmod/gamemodes/sandbox/gamemode/
replace the cl_spawnmenu.lua-file that's currently there, and tell me whether this works or not.

Yeah when I saw this i looked in the spawnmenu.lua file for like a day but couldn't find the problem...I'm downloading yours and hopefully it works.
Edit: Ok it still doesn't work and I am really getting mad

If you reinstalled garrysmod, Deleted gmod folders, Gfc, everything, It should work fine if it works for all of us, If not, There could be a program interfering with steam or gmod, Or it could be your computer not responding to certain commands, My friend ( internet friend ) Had this prob awhile ago, He Re-installed steam but it still didnt work so if it wasen't steam it had to be something with his computer, Try running steam in admin mode and removing all addons, Or if that doesnt work, Delete you current spawn lua thingy and run gmod.

Yeah I reinstalled Gmod 2 days ago didn't help. I will take out all my addons and try again and if that doesn't work then I will run it as admin...Do you think my installed (from a disk) Bioshock or fallout 3 have to do with this? I don't know but something weird is going on...

Try installing it on another computer to see if its ur steam or something like that.

They were pretty quick to contact me when my Other steam account got hijacked. they took like 35 minuets.

Well, I can't really do that unless u want me to install it on a computer with 512mb of RAM...or i could try to install it on my sister's computer but I doubt she would want me to...
