IPX protocol for windows 7

So, I've been digging up a lot of good old games lately, and want to play with other people over a LAN connection. However, old games (like starcraft and the early C&C series) requires IPX-protocol to play over LAN.

I know that the IPX-protocol is not included in windows 7, which I'm currently running, and hasn't been since windows XP.

I've been poking around and looking for a way to install this protocol on Windows 7, and so far I've only had success with Vista. Does anyone know of a way to get the IPX protocol running on Windows 7?

I've searched around a little bit, but couldn't find a solution. Some sort of Windows hack is circulating but it has a high possibility of failure. Worth the try if your desperate.

I've solved the problem the other way around, by getting some patches for the old games, which let the run over TCP/IP instead.
