    you can make the console start open when you start G-mod (or any source game) by:

    opening you steam games list, and right clicking the game, and selecting options/settings.
    Click the set launch options button, and insert -console
    in the box that pops up, and press ok.

    your console should now open whenever you start your game.


    this is because the normal method of opening the console in source-based games sometimes doesn't work for non-english keyboards =/

    Ok i am trying to do this and it aint working. I right click on gmod and goto properties and then to general and then to set lunch options and no matter what i type that even relates to console it aint working what do i type in there ?

    yea, i have to open it with "`", and that causes the console to shut down as soon as i type in a letter wich can be altered by that.
    like the a becomes à. console cant handle it, so i have to backspace before i type Razz
