    Remember that Cactus SENT I made quite some time ago? Well I'm making a gamemode based around it now using the Fretta gamemode base.

    I would appreciate some suggestions there too so as to stimulate ideas for the larger portion of the GMod community.

    Cactus Gamemode Cactus3n

    The basic idea is to catch as many cacti as you can before the timer runs out. The person with the most cacti wins. Each round the game gets more difficult.

    So far, basically just a bunch of cacti flying around in a five-second map. I plan to change that soon.

    The cacti will become more difficult to catch as the game progresses. They become faster and more random.

    I'm thinking of adding upgrades when you catch more cacti, like better tools for capturing the cacti. Any ideas?

    Presuming that you start out with the grav-gun to catch them, upgrades could include increasing physcannon_traclength (correct me if wrong), to suck the cacti in at longer ranges Rolling Eyes

    A vacuum gun maybez?

    The ultimate cacti-catching weapon/device would be a portable black hole, but it might be a little too powered Razz

    as for the map, i really like the feeling of being inside an arena/dome, the windows gives a good effect. My suggestion is bridges going across the arena, accessable from the sides with stairs, making it possible for players to catch the high-flying cacti, or do leaps of faith while grabbing cacti on the way.

    Looks pretty fun. I like the idea of the psy-beam getting larger, perhaps the player could gain exp. the more cacti they catch. The one this that sprung to mind, was a fun lil cartoon cacti icon on the hud, with the amount of cacti caught Very Happy

    I forgot to mention that players can also run super fast and jump super high. Makes it easier to catch the cacti.

    I like the vacuum idea.

    You will start with a gravity gun.
    When you have caught 5 cacti, you get a net gun for long range capture.
    When you have 15, you get enhanced speed.
    When you have 30, you get a vacuum.
    At 50, your jump can be even higher.
    At 70, you get net-nades which will capture all cacti within a certain proximity of it.
    When you have 100(or when the timer runs out), the round ends.
